Julie and Mark's October Wedding at Parker's Garage

As a wedding planner, every celebration is unique, but some weddings hold a special place in our hearts. Julie and Mark's wedding weekend in Long Beach Island was such an unforgettable event filled with beautiful unique details. From the moment we connected, there was an instant synergy, making the entire planning process a joyous collaboration of ideas, excitement, and OMG I love that!

The festivities kicked off with a welcome party that set the tone for the entire weekend. Held at Dock N Claw in Beach Haven, the cocktail-style party was laid back with a stunning floral entrance crafted by Lily in the Valley, adorned with twinkle lights. The evening concluded with a (Phillies win) and Curbside Confections candy truck featuring every sweet treat imaginable, a nod to the groom's love for candy. Every guest decided to stay late to watch the rest of the Phillies secure a win! Thank you Dock N Claw for extending the celebration!

On the big day, every meticulous detail seamlessly came together. Michelle Arlotta started the day capturing their first look on the beach and all of the love that followed. I love that she can capture the emotion in every photo and can tell a story through her lens. At the front entrance Crisp by Britt welcomed guests with a beautiful and simple sign that harmonized with the invitations. Lily in the Valley curated tall, structured arrangements, adding height and lushness. To reflect Julie and Mark's love for surfing, Karson & Co designed a unique seating chart using acrylic surfboards, inviting guests to "catch a wave" to their assigned seats.

Additional tall floral arrangements adorned the walkway leading into the venue, guiding guests towards a breathtaking floral chandelier. We spared no expense on candles! Maximizing each table with pillar candles from Detail + Design and oysters scattered artfully, creating an ambiance that was both romantic and sophisticated. We brought in some labor of love from Julie’s family, her Aunt hand painted each charger and Julie’s Mom’s dear friend baked the delicious wedding cake.

The ceremony took place on-site at Parker’s Garage with an acoustic guitar in the background. A heartwarming moment occurred when Julie's mom walked in with her pup Chase, adding a touch of joy and laughs. The officiants, chosen from Julie and Mark's two closest friends, added a personal and intimate touch to the ceremony.

Cocktail hour featured a selection of the finest offerings from Parkers Garage, setting the stage for a sumptuous surf and turf dinner for all the guests. The carefully curated menu reflected the couple's love for quality LBI cuisine.

We got lucky with a beautiful October sunset on the bay that transitioned into the evening festivities of Brian Kirk and the Jirks that ensured that the dance floor remained a vibrant space. The night continued with an after party at Bird and Betty’s velvet lounge with pizza and frozen blue crushes (shoutout to Curtis for bringing the blue crushes back for Julie and Mark!). It was a bonus that there was a live band playing!

The morning after brunch was undeterred by the rain, we swiftly pivoted from the beach to be indoors. We seamlessly transitioned with Emily from Picnic Perfect creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. We curated an extraordinary farewell brunch that featured a show-stopping charcuterie grazing spread by Build a Board. The kitchen island served as the focal point, adorned with an array of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, and an assortment of gourmet accompaniments. As guests gathered around, savoring the delectable offerings, the intimate setting fostered meaningful conversations and allowed the celebrations to continue in an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. As the last notes of laughter and conversations lingered in the air, I was reminded once again of the magic that lies in creating weddings that go beyond expectations that make my work truly rewarding.

Cheers to Julie and Mark, and to a lifetime of love and happiness! Catch ya at daqs on deck!
